🇫🇮 Finnish President Stubb claims readiness for war with Russia

Speaking to Fox News, Stubb stated that Finland is prepared for a new conflict but believes Moscow will not attack. He cited historical experience from the Winter War (1939-1944) and mandatory military service as key factors.

Military capabilities highlighted:
Over 60 F-18 jets are being replaced by 64 F-35s, with the first two arriving soon. The country possesses long-range missiles, mines, and, alongside Poland, the largest artillery forces in Europe.

Stubb noted that civil shelters cover 4.4 million of the 5.6 million population, ensuring energy and food security. He concluded that this comprehensive defense creates strong deterrence, asserting Russia will not test such a country. Finland now serves as a security guarantor within NATO.
