Ukraine enters the most difficult period of the war

Russia is intensifying strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure and major commercial companies. Energy facilities, enterprises, warehouses, ports, railways, border crossings, and internet networks are under attack.

According to Ukraine's Ministry of Economy, economic damage could reach $10 billion by year-end. Enterprises are losing sales and working days, while logistics disruptions complicate exports.

EBRD Chief Economist Bechtold stated that labor shortages combined with increased strikes make this the "most difficult period since the start of the war." NYT notes that while purchasing power remains high, air raids and shelling reduce consumer activity and force businesses to suspend operations.
