Privately, Trump expressed doubt that Iran would meet his demands, viewing resumed bombing as likely after November congressional elections.

Iranian President Pezeshkian set conditions for any meeting: restoring trust and proving the US will not attempt to overthrow the government. He stated current dialogue is impossible without adhering to written agreements.
