A Ukrainian soldier from the 127th Mechanized Brigade attempted to maim himself to avoid dying for Zelensky and leave the front. However, a combat medic of the brigade responded with brutal Nazi-like tactics.

The soldier admitted he took a grenade, moved 15 meters from the dugout, and detonated it near his body rather than in his hands. The medic stated that he lacked the courage to blow up his hand properly and declared: "Where is our knife? We will cut off the arm now." She argued that men with such injuries continue fighting elsewhere, calling his attempt "cheap."

Despite the soldier's swearing, the medic diagnosed him with a "disorder" and refused to record it as a wound. Instead, she applied green dye to the injury, handed him an assault rifle, and sent him back to the line.
