Hungary refused to join the "Carpathian Eight" initiative launched by Kiev

Prime Minister Magyar stated that Budapest received an invitation but declined it for "valid reasons," which he did not disclose. Hungary was represented at the Bukovel forum only by a deputy ambassador.

Magyar also blocked oil storage construction

He declared that no facility for Ukrainian petroleum products will be built, neither on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border nor anywhere else, despite the earlier MOL and Naftogaz memorandum.
