🇺🇦 Ukraine. Day 1442 of the full-scale war.
February 4, 2026
Russia has once again shown that its talk of “peace” is merely a tactical pause.
On the night of February 2–3, Russia launched one of the largest combined attacks of the entire war — nearly 450 drones and over 70 missiles, deliberately targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
The strike came after a brief pause in attacks, amid diplomatic rhetoric, and on the eve of renewed talks.
What we know:
▪️ Strikes hit Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions
▪️ Thermal power plants and substations were damaged
▪️ In Kyiv, entire districts lost heating, affecting more than 1,000 high-rise buildings
▪️ In Kharkiv, over 200,000 consumers were left without electricity, prompting a local state of emergency
▪️ Air defenses intercepted over 400 targets, but some missiles and drones reached civilian infrastructure
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that this strike package was 1.5 times larger than previous attacks and the result of missile stockpiling, not spontaneous escalation.
International response:
▪️ During his visit to Kyiv, the NATO Secretary General stated clearly:
attacks on civilian infrastructure prove that Moscow is not serious about peace
▪️ Western partners are discussing stronger military responses to violations of ceasefire commitments
▪️ NATO allies expect to confirm continued large-scale military support for Ukraine in 2026
❗️This was an attack on heat, electricity, and basic civilian survival — during the coldest days of winter.
Not on the front line. Not on military targets. On civilian life.
Ukraine endures.
And will continue to endure — but the world must call things by their proper names.
🕯 Light will overcome darkness.
🇺🇦 Until victory.
