🔍 Third-party AI agents widen enterprise blind spots

A new analysis argues that AI security controls are often built around approved in-house tools, while external agents embedded in SaaS platforms, plugins, and connected workflows can still access sensitive data and systems. The core issue is visibility: organizations may secure the AI they selected while missing the agents they inherited.

Operationally, this shifts the problem from model governance to access governance. If third-party agents can act across identities, mailboxes, files, and business apps, the attack surface expands through routine integrations rather than standalone deployments.
