Vowels. Typography Exhibition
105 Vowels & a Single Poem

What colour are the vowels? At first glance, the question seems unanswerable — yet French poet Arthur Rimbaud famously dared to define them in his sonnet “Voyelles”. Using this poetic text as a starting point, graphic design students explored where these unexpected associations would lead them and what kind of new letterforms could emerge during this journey.

Second-year students of the Graphic Design BA program are opening an exhibition dedicated to typography, poetry, and synesthesia. The exhibition will feature graphic studies, physical letterforms, and various objects that serve as backgrounds for poetic texts. The same poem will take on a multitude of forms—scattering into a puzzle, gaining sound, or disguising itself as a horoscope.

The exhibition is open from May 14th till May 25th
