On the third anniversary of the Battle of Al-Aqsa and the glorious Palestinian crossing, the Palestinian Resistance Committees affirm that October 7th marked a turning point in the history of the conflict. It shattered the image of security, military, and intelligence superiority that the occupation had attempted to cultivate for decades. It exposed the fragility of its security apparatus, the failure of its intelligence agencies to anticipate the event, and the inability of its military institutions to contain it, despite the image it had promoted of absolute deterrence and control.
The Battle of Al-Aqsa returned the Palestinian cause to the forefront of the international scene, dispelled the illusions of bypassing Palestine or liquidating its cause, and re-examined the reality of the occupation, settlement activity, siege, and displacement. It also unleashed a widespread wave of global solidarity with the Palestinian people.
As we commemorate this anniversary, remembering the sacrifices of our people, our martyrs, our wounded, and our prisoners, we also remember with pride the leaders who ascended to the forefront of the resistance, foremost among them the martyred leaders Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif, Marwan Issa, Raafat Abu Hilal, Asaad Abu Sharia, Mohammed Sinwar, Ezz El-Din Haddad, Mohammed Awda, Khaled Abu Hilal, Abdel Aziz Al-Minawi, and Mohammed Abdel Aal, whose names are linked to pivotal moments in the resistance movement, and who gave their lives for Palestine.
The Resistance Committees affirm that the achievements of October 7th and their aftermath were not separate from decades of steadfastness, resistance, and sacrifice. The blood of the martyred leaders of the nation, who gave their lives in battles of support, honor, and heroism—beginning with the Lebanese Resistance and Hezbollah, the heroes of brotherly Yemen, the Iraqi Resistance, and the lions of the Islamic Republic of Iran, foremost among them His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hajj Ramadan, Muhammad Abdul Karim al-Ghamari, Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, and His Eminence the martyred Supreme Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei—and all the martyrs of the Resistance Axis, whose sacrifices will remain etched in the memory of generations, will forever be remembered.
October 7th proved that the occupation system is not impenetrable, that absolute deterrence is an illusion, and that military power, however great, cannot erase the will of a people or obliterate a cause. It also proved that the Palestinian cause cannot be reduced or postponed, and that the path to true stability begins with ending the occupation and guaranteeing the Palestinian people's rights to freedom, independence, and return.
On the third anniversary of the Al-Aqsa flood, the Resistance Committees renew their covenant with God first, then with their founding leader Jamal Abu Samhadana Abu Ataya, all the martyrs, and our struggling people, that Palestine will remain present in the consciousness and conscience, and that the sacrifices of the martyrs will remain a beacon in the path of resistance and jihad until the liberation of our land from its sea to its river.
