๐ฎ๐ทโ๏ธ๐บ๐ธ๐ธ๐ฆ Updated satellite imagery from Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia have revealed a RE-3A signals intelligence (SIGINT) and surveillance aircraft operated by the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), also sustained major damage in Iran's ballistic missile and drone strikes during the Ramadan War.
The rare $582 million aircraft has had one of its horizontal stabilizers blown off, and damage to two of its engines as well as a fuel leak is visible.
Iran did claim having struck two E-3 AWACS at the time of the strikes.
There must have been some confusion mistaking this aircraft for a second E-3B Sentry.
One can imagine the extent of the damage from shrapnel to the aircraft at ground level.
The extremely rare asset is probably a write off since repairs will most certainly cost more than the machine's purchase price.
