Honeywell T55 Turboshaft Engine
The Honeywell T55 is a powerful turboshaft engine widely used in the Boeing CH-47 Chinook helicopter. It operates by compressing air, burning fuel, and expanding hot gases through turbine stages to generate mechanical shaft power. In the general Gas turbine simulation course, we will use the T55 as a case study for turbomachinery flow simulation and CFD-based aerodynamic analysis.
