Silleno Takes Part in the GLOBUC Business Summit

Representatives of Silleno LLP attended the 13th Business Summit Downstream Central Asia and Caspian, held in Astana.

As part of the summit’s business programme, Khabibulla Karimov, Director of the Feedstock and Marketing Department at Silleno, spoke at a session focused on the construction and operational launch of major industrial projects.

During the session, he presented an update on the polyethylene plant project in the Atyrau Region, including the current stage of implementation, future production plans, the product portfolio and key application areas. The presentation also highlighted the importance of developing engineering and technical expertise for major petrochemical projects.

On the sidelines of the summit, representatives of Silleno’s technical and operations teams held a series of bilateral meetings with international companies involved in major petrochemical projects.

Silleno held meetings with Univation Technologies, Chevron Phillips Chemical, Lummus Technology, Axens, Worley, and other industry companies. Univation Technologies, Chevron Phillips Chemical, Axens and Lummus Technology are technology licensors for processes that will be used at the future Silleno plant.

Representatives of Silleno and SOCAR also discussed potential areas of cooperation and opportunities to share expertise in the petrochemical industry.
