we are launching an english book club, moderated by andrei kozaredov, english and spanish teacher 🔭 andrei’s job is helping adult students in emigration to build a confident and comfortable relationship with a foreign language, and integrate the foreign language content and culture in daily life

the first book of the english book club will be sally rooney's third novel, beautiful world, where are you. the release of her fourth novel provides a great opportunity to discuss whether the previous one met expectations. during the meeting, we will also explore how friendship, love, and the search for meaning in modern life are portrayed in the novel, as well as what resonates with us and what provokes outrage

— the advised english level for participation would start from  b1. however, you are welcome to participate if you're not sure about what your level is but feel eager to share your opinion and discuss the book with others;
— the book club will be held in english; hence we expect you to be familiar with the original text. if you don't have a lot of experience reading literature in english and feel unsure about whether you can read the whole book, you may read it in russian or serbian. nevertheless, we recommend taking a look at some extracts and chapters in english so you can get to know what the author's writing style is like
