WHAT WAS REALLY KNOWN ABOUT SAFETY OF PFIZER mRNA COVID INJECTION DURING PREGNANCY WHEN NZ DR MATT SHELTON SENT HIS WARNING TEXT?

Today was the first day of the NZ Medical Council Disciplinary Tribunal against former GP, Dr Matt Shelton.

In August 2021, 1 day before NZ was to roll out the Pfizer mRNA Covid injectable to NZ teens aged 12 to 15, Dr Shelton sent the following text message to his 600 enrolled patients:

Quote:

"Hi [name], your GP, Dr Shelton here. I cannot in conscience support Covid vaccination of, particularly, children, and pregnant and fertile women, from my assessment of current risks and benefits, best explained at [NZDSOS website) All to make their own best decision."

Dr Shelton has been unable to practice medicine for 5 years, while awaiting this Tribunal.

Tomorrow (1st October 2026) Dr Nikki Turner will testify against Dr Shelton

Dr Turner is the long time Medical Director of the NZ Immunization Advisory at Auckland University.

In the clip below, Dr Turner is the first of the speakers. This was filmed in September 2021, reassuring all NZ women that not only was the Pfizer mRNA Covid injection safe during pregnancy, but it was highly advisable to take it.

What evidence did we have that the Pfizer mRNA Covid injection was safe during (all or any stages of) pregnancy, in August 2021 when Dr Shelton sent his text message....and September 2021 when Dr Turner told all NZ pregnant women to take the Pfizer mRNA?

"Available data on Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine administered to pregnant women are insufficient to inform vaccine-associated risks in pregnancy."
"Data are not available to assess the effects... on the breastfed infant or on milk production/excretion."

*Medsafe NZ Data Sheet — Section 4.6
August 2021 AND October 2021 position:

"There is limited experience with use of Comirnaty in pregnant women."
"Administration of Comirnaty in pregnancy should only be considered when the potential benefits outweigh any potential risks for the mother and fetus.
" Lactation: "It is unknown whether tozinameran (the Pfizer mRNA) is excreted in human milk."

To October 2021 When Dr Nikki Turner was encouraging pregnant "people" to take the Pfizer injection during pregnancy there were:

*only one controlled human trial (ended early and only injecting women during pregnancy weeks 24 to 34 weeks, and with only a total of 350 women instead of the planned 4,000)

*all other available data was animal studies, passive surveillance or observational registries.
