• Added full Android Auto support — browse and play surahs directly from your car's media interface.
• Replaced the guide banner with a dedicated Guide page that explains every feature and option in the app.
• Redesigned the home header with new colors and a custom font for the sheikh's name and description.
• Improved surah card visibility and refined the corner radius.
• Redesigned surah number badges with a distinctive cookie-shaped appearance.
• Changed the favorite indicator from a wavy underline to filling the surah number badge with the primary color, freeing up more space.
• Added the surah's Part and Makki/Madani status to each surah card.
• Prevented playing or selecting surahs that haven't been downloaded.
• Added a clear disabled state to the play button for non-downloaded surahs.
• Improved download reliability with better cache validation and cleanup.
• Added a floating download indicator that shows active downloads at a glance, with a popup menu for detailed progress.
• Added a download queue system that allows downloading multiple surahs with smart queue management.
• Added the ability to cancel downloads directly from the surah card or the floating download indicator.
• Fixed download completion status not being tracked correctly.
• Fixed layout spacing when the player is displayed above the navigation bar.
• Updated the system media player with proper icons and three Auto-play modes: Off, Play Next, and Play Previous.
• Updated the system media player title to display the download status instead of the sheikh's name, providing more space for long surah names, especially in English.
• Prevented the system media player from skipping to surahs that haven't been downloaded and added a download icon to indicate them.
• Prevented all players from skipping to non-downloaded surahs unless Auto-play is enabled.
• Completely redesigned the mini player, bringing over 90% of the full player's controls. Added Auto-play (including reverse mode by long-pressing the button), surah number, part, juz, Makki/Madani status, repeat controls, monospaced time labels, and previous/next buttons.
• Fixed an issue where the mini player and selected surah briefly disappeared when opening the app.
• Fixed an issue where the mini player was hidden when opening the full player sheet.
• Replaced the built-in drag handle in the full player sheet with a custom one to prevent the system drag hint from appearing behind camera cutouts.
• Changed the artwork shape to a 9-sided cookie design.
• Added a subtle rotation animation to the logo while audio is playing.
• Added a sheikh image that can be shown instead of the artwork by tapping it, along with a one-time hint to introduce the feature to new users.
• Improved media progress bar animations.
• Enhanced the appearance of time labels.
• Fixed long surah names breaking the UI.
• Fixed the Sleep Timer chip colors and added smoother animations.
• Improved spacing across all player controls and added tap animations, along with dedicated animations when reaching the first or last surah or attempting to play a non-downloaded surah.
• Improved the visibility of Auto-play enabled states.
• Added up/down arrows to the Previous/Next Surah chips to match their position in the Mushaf.
