250 years ago, “our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”

Today, we are engaged in our own political struggle, “testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.”

On this momentous 250th anniversary, I pray we can unite and resolve, “that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom.”
