科学家发现控制停止进食的神经元开关
研究人员发现，曾被认为仅仅支持神经元的星形胶质细胞实际上在控制进食中起着关键作用。进食后，葡萄糖激活了tanycytes，后者向星形胶质细胞发送信号，进而激活饱腹神经元。这一新发现可能会带来对肥胖和进食障碍的创新的治疗方法。
