联合国多个机构的领导人呼吁持续致力和投资以结束女儿童割礼，目前有超过2.3亿女孩和妇女仍然承受着这一终身的后果。据估计，2026年将有4.5百万女孩（其中许多人年龄不足5岁）面临着女儿童割礼的风险。
