大脑发育可能持续到30岁，新研究表明
早期的大脑扫描显示，灰质在青少年时期发生了剧烈的变化，因为研究停止在20岁左右，科学家估计发育可能在20多岁完成。但是，最新的大脑成像研究则画出了不同的图景：大脑的关键连接和网络效率在30岁初期仍在演变。
