Important Update on the YieldBasis Sale

We've spent the past 36 hours reviewing the first-come, first-served round for YieldBasis and have uncovered a significant number of individuals attempting to game the system.

That's antithetical to our mission. Legion exists to fairly distribute tokens into the hands of real people.

In that spirit, $2,198,135 of the FCFS round will be reallocated to approximately 2,000 additional applicants that YieldBasis wants to include in the merit-based round on Legion, bringing the total to $4,698,135.

What This Means
👉 The first merit-based round was distributed to roughly 2,300 individuals. With the new allocation increase, about 2,000 more people have received an allocation.
👉 YieldBasis has selected new allocations from the original list of applications we received, even if you were previously rejected and even if you already claimed a refund.
- If you were previously rejected in Legion’s merit-based round, you may now be eligible for an allocation.
- If you were previously accepted, you have either maintained or increased your allocation (details will be communicated via email).
👉 You may receive an allocation below the minimum you set in your application

How Allocations Were Decided
First and foremost: YieldBasis (like any team that raises on Legion) decides the allocations, not Legion. In this case, YieldBasis applied a barbell approach: some allocations went to the most highly qualified applicants, and many went to broader groups of strong, sybil-resistant real users.

In practice, this meant a mix of:
👉 Hand-reviewed selections of especially value-add participants.
👉 Onchain OG Curve users.
👉 Users with above-average sybil resistance and solid Legion Scores.
👉 Developers and contributors with standout technical or dev scores.
👉 Applicants with strong social scores.
👉 Long-time, sybil-resistant Legion buyers and holders.

The result: a diverse, carefully balanced distribution across thousands of individuals, with allocations sized to ensure both depth (larger allocations for high-value participants) and breadth (a wide distribution across the community).

The punchline: YieldBasis selected approx. 4,300 unique individuals for an allocation. Different teams can make different decisions on Legion to maximize their token distribution as they see fit.

The bottom line is that lots of people wanted to buy YieldBasis, and in any sale that is more than 80x oversubscribed, most people will not receive allocation.

We know this process has been intense, and we deeply appreciate everyone’s patience and the notes of support. Our goal is to make sure allocations get to real community members, not to opportunistic actors, and to uphold the integrity of every sale.

👉If you do receive an allocation, but have already refunded your initial deposit, you will have until Sunday, Oct 5th, 2025, 8 AM EST/12 PM UTC to deposit. In this case, you will need to deposit with a different wallet than the initial deposit.

👉If you were previously accepted, and withdrew your deposit, you will also need to deposit again, from a different wallet by Sunday, OCT 5, 2025, 8 AM EST/12 PM UTC

👉If you were previously accepted, you will also receive an email, at which time you’ll be able to reclaim the remainder of your deposit from the UI.
