sat stuff housekeeping
i suppose each of you is aware of the leaks situation.

SAT leaks have been present since August 2024, when Chinese takers started sharing vocabulary beforehand. the key word here is "vocabulary" — CIS students would be alerted about three to four words at most.
admittedly, in October 2025, people discovered both New Zealand and Bluebook-hacking software. over 180 questions leaked at least 8 (9 for Azerbaijan and 10 for Moscow) hours ahead of the exam is inconceivable.

i am not here to rant on the ethical aspect. after all, the quote "never play fair in a game where others cheat" exists for a reason.
i am frustrated at the death of trust. sure, an average SAT-taker does not care much about something as abstract as "trust". still, it must be discouraging to see people's scores being doubted. what's worse, i caught myself doubting someone else's score. adapting to a new student, looking for a reliable tutor, cheering for another taker is much trickier now.

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, i sincerely believe that College Board will have handled the situation by the time it is the March exam. in the meantime, do not hope for a miracle and prepare well.
