A fragment of a late Anglo Saxon sword pommel overlay, made of bronze with niello inlays, found in Bowthorpe, Norfolk, 9th Century. With where it was found, perhaps it faced off against the incoming Vikings, and broke against a Viking’s helmet. 𐘾
