🏛️ “Open Elections”: Exploring Russia’s Electoral System

On September 13, one of the key events of the “Open Elections” Program at the International Festival of Youth – 2026 was an address by Ella Pamfilova, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.

She spoke to the Program participants, shared her perspective on the importance of a professional approach to electoral processes, and offered words of encouragement to the young experts ahead of the next stages of their work.

The single voting day in Russia is a concentration of the electoral activity of our citizens. Many of you will witness this event as part of the festival’s regional program.
Currently, the country’s electoral sovereignty determines its independence and strength, its ability to pursue its own course. Russia has the necessary set of electoral standards for this.

For us, it is important that participants gain a professional understanding of electoral procedures in Russia and of how election commissions and the observation system operate.

On the same day, we held two more educational events together with the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.

🔊 Pavel Andreev, Member of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, delivered a lecture entitled “National Specifics: the Electoral Process and Election Observation in the Russian Federation, and the 2026 Election to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.” Participants discussed the organization of voting, the work of election commissions, and election observation mechanisms.

⚪️ The Program then continued with the business debate “Elections of the Future,” focused on the development of electoral technologies and the future transformation of electoral processes.

Following the Festival stage, participants will continue their work across Russian regions, where they will study the organizational, legal, and procedural aspects of voting and interact with election commissions.

রাশিয়ায় অনুষ্ঠিতব্য 'আন্তর্জাতিক ক্লাইমেট চেঞ্জ অ্যান্ড এনভায়রনমেন্টাল ইস্যুজ অলিম্পিয়াড (IOCE 2026)'-এ বাংলাদেশের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করার জন্য নির্বাচিত ৫ জন 'বিওসিই (BOCE) অলিম্পিয়াড' বিজয়ী মূল আন্তর্জাতিক প্রতিযোগিতার জন্য তাদের নিবিড় প্রস্তুতি শুরু করেছে। 🇷🇺🌍

🔬 ১৬ সেপ্টেম্বর ২০২৬ তারিখে ঢাকার রাশিয়ান হাউসের সার্বিক সহযোগিতায় ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য বিশেষ কিছু প্র্যাকটিক্যাল বা ব্যবহারিক ল্যাবরেটরি সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এই সেশনগুলো পরিচালনা করছেন বিওসিই অলিম্পিয়াডের আয়োজকগণ, যারা নিজেরাই আইওসিই ২০২৫-এ বাংলাদেশের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেছিলেন এবং রাশিয়ার এই আন্তর্জাতিক পরিবেশ অলিম্পিয়াড থেকে স্বর্ণপদক অর্জন করেছিলেন। 🥇🇷🇺

আগামী দিনগুলোতে শিক্ষার্থীদের জ্ঞান আরও সুদৃঢ় করতে এবং আন্তর্জাতিক অলিম্পিয়াডের চ্যালেঞ্জগুলোর জন্য প্রস্তুত করতে ঢাকার রাশিয়ান হাউস এবং ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে আরও কয়েকটি কর্মশালা ও ব্যবহারিক প্রশিক্ষণ অনুষ্ঠিত হবে।

🏆 সোচির 'সিরিয়াস ফেডারেল টেরিটরি'-তে অনুষ্ঠিতব্য IOCE 2026-এ এই দলটি বাংলাদেশের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করবে, যেখানে বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের শিক্ষার্থীরা জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন ও পরিবেশগত বিষয়ে তাদের মেধা ও জ্ঞান তুলে ধরতে একত্রিত হবে।

Five BOCE Olympiad winners, selected to represent Bangladesh at the International Olympiad on Climate Change and Environmental Issues (IOCE 2026), have begun intensive preparation for the international competition in Russia. 🇷🇺🌍

🔬 On 𝟏𝟔 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, practical laboratory training sessions were held for the students at the University of Dhaka with the support of the Russian House in Dhaka. The sessions were conducted by the organisers of the BOCE Olympiad, who themselves represented Bangladesh at IOCE 2025 and brought home gold medals from the international environmental Olympiad in Russia. 🥇🇷🇺

Over the coming days, additional workshops and practical sessions will be held at the Russian House in Dhaka and the University of Dhaka, focusing on strengthening the students’ practical and theoretical knowledge to prepare them for the challenges of the international Olympiad.

🏆 The team will represent Bangladesh at IOCE 2026 in the Sirius Federal Territory, Sochi, where students from different countries will come together to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of climate change and environmental issues.

🌱 These practical laboratory sessions and workshops will help Bangladesh’s young participants strengthen their academic preparation, confidence, and hands-on skills ahead of the international competition.
