✍️ Russian Ambassador to South Africa and Lesotho Roman Ambarov congratulates Russian and South African athletes on their world-record achievements at the competition in Tashkent.

💬 Roman Ambarov:

World Records Bring Russia and South Africa Together in Tashkent!

🇿🇦 Congratulations to South Africa’s Pieter Coetze on his spectacular 50m backstroke world record in Tashkent!

🇷🇺 Remarkably, Russian swimmer Egor Kornev also set a new world record in the 50m butterfly in Uzbekistan, clocking an incredible 21.28 seconds.

It is wonderful to see Russian and South African swimmers making history on the same international stage.

My heartfelt congratulations to Pieter Coetze and Egor Kornev on these remarkable achievements, and to our two countries on this proud moment!
