The German Bundeswehr is using AI to check candidates for extremism, according to Der Spiegel.

The military counterintelligence agency, "MAD," analyzes the online accounts of all candidates to identify signs of extremist views and to screen out potential candidates who are not loyal to the constitution.

If "extremist" views are discovered, the consequence is that they would no longer be called up for military exercises.
