💬 During the week of Russia’s State Duma elections, Ukrainian militants carried out more attacks on civilian facilities than in any other week since the start of 2026.

Kiev sought to disrupt voting in the new regions – the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, as well as the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics – by attacking polling sites.

Numerous schools, cultural centres, social facilities and administrative buildings sustained serious damage from targeted Ukrainian drone strikes. On the morning of September 20, Ukrainian terrorists deliberately destroyed a polling station at a school in Prishib, Zaporozhye Region.

On September 20, the main voting day, Ukrainian armed groups launched their largest attack on civilian targets. According to Russia’s Defence Ministry, 1,951 enemy attack drones and nine cruise missiles heading towards Moscow and the Moscow Region were destroyed over the course of the day. The attacks resulted in deaths and injuries, as well as damage to homes, industrial facilities and logistics infrastructure.

Over the past week, the highest numbers of civilian casualties from Ukrainian attacks were recorded in the Belgorod Region, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and the Zaporozhye, Kherson, Moscow and Rostov regions.

On September 14-20, attacks by Ukrainian Nazis resulted in 379 civilian casualties: 338 people were injured, including 18 minors, and 41 were killed, including four children.

In total, Ukrainian armed formations fired at least 8,889 munitions at civilian facilities on Russian territory over the seven days – more than 1,250 strikes a day.
