On October 1, in connection with the completion of his assignment, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Erbil Mr Maxim Rubin was received by Mr Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
During the meeting, the sides reviewed the current state of Russian-Iraqi and Russian-Kurdish cooperation and exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues.
Mr Barzani expressed his appreciation to Mr Rubin for his contribution to strengthening Russian-Kurdish relations and wished him every success in his future endeavors.
