🇷🇺 🇺🇬 Rospotrebnadzor delivered a supply of Russian-made test systems for the detection of the RNA of the Bundibugyo Ebola virus to the Republic of Uganda. The delivery was organized at the request of the Ministry of Health of Uganda and is designed to carry out 7,000 tests.

Earlier, Russian and Ugandan specialists conducted tests of these test systems in real conditions during the outbreak of Ebola Bundibugyo fever in the Republic of Uganda in May and June of this year. At that time, employees of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor developed test systems for detecting this dangerous pathogen in the shortest possible time and delivered them to Uganda. During the tests, the kits demonstrated high sensitivity and specificity, and they are currently being actively used in the detection of suspicious cases of the disease.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Charles Olaro, Director General of Health Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uganda. He praised the Russian assistance in combating the Ebola epidemic and thanked the leadership and specialists of Rospotrebnadzor for their fruitful collaboration.
