📑 The regular annual Report Regarding the Situation with the Glorification of Nazism and the Spread of Neo-Nazism and Other Practices that Contribute to Fuelling Contemporary Forms of Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance has been posted on the Foreign Ministry’s website.

As is customary, the publication of the report is timed to an important historical date – September 3, when our country marks Victory over militarist Japan and the end of the Second World War. The date is observed in Russia as a Day of Military Glory of Russia.

The report is traditionally based on the provisions of the thematic resolution Combating the Glorification of Nazism, Neo-Nazism and Other Practices that Contribute to the Escalation of Contemporary Forms of Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance, which provides a foundation for countering the falsification of history and attempts to rewrite the outcomes of the Second World War. Every year, Russia, together with a broad group of co-authors from all regions of the world, submits this resolution for consideration by the UN General Assembly.

🌍 It is important to note that the overwhelming majority of the international community shares Russia’s approach to this issue. Unprecedented pressure from Western countries is unable to alter this trend. Thus, in 2025, the Russian resolution was supported by 119 countries. Only 51 countries voted against it, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Ukraine, as well as the EU member states.

Regrettably, history is repeating itself, and the patterns developed in Nazi Germany and militarist Japan are being applied today in a number of countries whose authorities not only glorify Nazi ideas but also zealously put them into practice. This is evident in their attempts to reshape public consciousness, erase historical memory and instil neo-Nazi ideology in younger generations.

🇷🇺 Russia, together with like-minded partners, does not intend to tolerate such racist and neo-colonial approaches and will counteract them in every possible way.
