✉️Greetings from the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov to the organizers, participants, and guests of the 7th Arctic Forum on Sustainable Development (October 8, 2026):

✍️I cordially welcome the organizers, participants, and guests of the 7th Arctic Forum on Sustainable Development, which traditionally takes place in the hospitable city of Yakutsk and has become a significant event in the Arctic calendar.

Over the past years, your forum has received well-deserved recognition as one of the authoritative platforms focused on expanding multi-faceted ties in the #Arctic.

❗️Russia, the largest Arctic power, is doing everything possible to maintain peace and stability in the high latitudes, socio-economic development, and the careful economic development of the North, as well as the protection of the rights and cultural heritage of indigenous peoples.

Our country is open to mutually beneficial cooperation with all constructively minded foreign partners.

I am confident that the upcoming discussions at the forum will contribute to finding solutions to pressing Arctic issues and will lead to the implementation of much-needed development projects.

I wish you fruitful work and all the best.

S.LAVROV
