We had the last meeting with org team yesterday about COVID-19 and RuCTF 2020 at April.

Most of our foreign participants are from Italy and Germany, so nobody knows if they can travel to Yekaterinburg in April.
We thought that we can connect them via VPN, but we have no guarantees that any public events in Russia won’t be banned in a month (now it’s banned in Yekt if there are >5000 participants). Also some of our speakers said that their employers advising not visiting conferences and some are just afraid of COVID.

We think that postponing RuCTF 2020 to September or October will be the best desicion. So, RuCTF 2020 will not take place in April.
We’ll provide an official letter to the teams on the next week so they can use it to get back flight costs from the insurance or university.
