Interesting proposal from the MoonPay team — building the open wallet standard (OWS) with one mnemonic phrase for all chains.

The idea: one BIP-39 seed derives accounts for EVM, Solana, Bitcoin, TON, TRON, Cosmos — all of them. One encrypted local vault. Keys never leave your machine. Never exposed to the agent, the LLM, or any parent process.

The real target isn't users — it's AI agents. Right now every agent framework rolls its own key management. Private keys in .env files, three different signing libraries, three leak surfaces. OWS wants to standardize the wallet layer that sits beneath payment protocols like x402 and MPP.

What caught my eye: TON Foundation is one of the 21 founding orgs. Along with PayPal, OKX, Ripple, Ethereum Foundation, Solana Foundation, Coinbase and others.

Basically — if agentic payments are the future, the wallet underneath needs to be open and standard. This is the attempt.
