Teacher and student to carry flag at Asian Para Games
Para taekwondo player Yeung Siu-ki and para athlete Katie Wong were on Thursday named as the flag bearers for Hong Kong, China at this year's Asian Para Games before the 150-strong delegation departs for Nagoya. Yeung, who is Wong's teacher, said the fact that they were both chosen for the role made the honour especially meaningful. "As an athlete, being able to stand in the front row at a major sporting event is actually a very special honour, so I am very happy. And it was also completely unexpected," Yeung said. Wong was among the 20 athletes who will be taking part in the games for the first time. Eighty athletes from Hong Kong, China will be competing in 10 sports at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games. The event will begin on October 18. Edited by Aaron Tam
