☀️ WITH BEAUTIFUL ART & CULTURE INTO A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND! 🌹
🎼 Richard Strauss (1864 - 1949), a prominent representative of late Romanticism and early Modernism in music, is undoubtedly one of the most significant German composers and conductors of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Particularly impressive is the symphonic poem “Thus Spoke Zarathustra”, premiered in 1896 and named after Nietzsche’s work of the same name, by the composer, who was also President of the Reich Chamber of Music from 1933 to 1935.
👌 This symphony addresses the conflict and evolution of the human spirit from its origins to Nietzsche's idea of the "Übermensch." To achieve this, the composer used harmonic tension between two keys. Who could perform this work, ☀️whose prelude titled "Sunrise" could be considered the anthem of our solar system☀️, better than the legendary Herbert von Karajan with the Berlin Philharmonic?
