🇪🇹 - The current situation in the Tigray region, northern Ethiopia:
Mekele direction: Ethiopian National Defense Forces, ENDF, have advanced north of Mekele and have captured everything from Wukro to Idago Hamus. Less than 48 hours ago, Eritrean troops were seen patrolling Idago Hamus. The Mekele direction has ended, and the Adigrat direction has begun. ENDF are less than 15kim from Adigrat, the most important city and major stronghold of the TDF.
Hawzen direction: TDF have withdrawn from Hawzen and everything south of the large town. ENDF have not yet entered the area, and therefore it is shown unmarked on Rerum Novarum's map.
Samre direction: Samre, Hatami, Agerba, and the entire Dekera heights have fallen to the ENDF following a TDF withdrawal.
Adi Dairo direction: ENDF forces continued to advance north of River Tekeze (shown in blue on Rerum Novarum's map), and have captured the city of Shire and its airport.
It seems that the TDF have abandoned the rest of the Tigray region (the borders of which are marked in black on the map) and are repositioning along the Adigrat - Aksum - Sheraro line of defense (shown as a purple line on the map).
