As said before, the entire New York State government is being mobilized to prosecute the boys. Democrat Senate candidates, such as Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, have claimed the boys are gang rapists, echoing the feelings of virtually every elected Democrat who has made a statement about the case. Senate Dem Leader Chuck Schumer, who is the senator of New York, has called for the Cornell 7 investigation to leave “no stone unturned.”

Notably, however, organs of the Democratic elite’s media have signaled skepticism and caution around the case. The New York Times coverage so far has made major dents in Craig’s claims alongside the social media narratives. The hosts of ABC’s The View have also called for calm and to wait for facts to be revealed.

Despite this, the Democrat Party is fully on board to utilize this case and the gender war to mobilize female voters in the midterms. No major GOP figure has commented affirmatively on the case yet outside of generic statements; however, most of the right-wing media sphere is united in pushing back against the narrative, ranging from the National Review to Trump Admin.–affiliated MAGA accounts on Twitter.
