- At 00:45am local time, the GC were alerted by local residents of three suspicious vehicles.
- GC arrived on scene, arresting five individuals. The vehicles were found with explosives.
- The Royal Army's bomb disposal units arrived to examine the explosives.
- 85 households in Whelford were evacuated.
- Counter terrorism forces have detained the five individuals, who are likely being charged with the intent to carry out a terrorist act.
