Twirwaneho have complete fire control over the city of Uvira from these heighta. Uvira lies less than 28km from Masango.
The fall of Uvira this time around would be far more dangerous, not only for the DRC but also for Burundi. Unlike when M23 previously captured the city from the north, Red Tabara is currently participating in the offensive from the south.
