🇪🇬🇦🇪⚡- Egypt is reportedly offering to deploy an AMOUN air defence battery to the United Arab Emirates in order to strengthen its protection against potential Iranian threats, according to Emirati media sources.

It is already understood that Egyptian aircraft took part in the defence of the UAE during the recent US–Iran conflict. For many years, however, President el-Sisi denied that Egypt maintained any military presence within the Gulf state.

At the same time, the UAE continues to support state and non-state actors considered to be direct rivals of Egyptian influence across the Horn of Africa, including the Uganda-led CFA 'alliance', Ethiopia’s ENDF, and Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces. El-Sisi’s disastrous foreign policy sees Egyptian-allied authorities in UAE-backed Benghazi facilitating the transfer of Emirati military supplies to the RSF, right at Cairo's doorstep.
