🇪🇹⚡- Afar region's government have accused TPLF factions of firing on its positions and attacking border towns. Afar have threatened the Tigray Interim Administration, TIA, with military retaliation if it does not stop the TPLF attacks.
Both regions, Afar and the TIA (along with its TPLF army), are pro Addis Ababa and Ethiopia's central government.
Note, as part of the 2022 ceasefire agreement, TIA administers most of the Tigray region, along with some of the bordering regions, including a small area of Afar in the northwest.
