The deal finalizes the (energy) trade corridor between Uzbekistan and India, completely bypassing Pakistan. The deal was signed by the Foreign Ministers of the three nations in Tehran.
Other Turkic Central Asian nations will likely follow - the importance of Chabahar has also garnered Chinese interest in the past as a potential alternative to Gwadar.
