DANGEROUS STORM SETUP UNFOLDING ACROSS ARIZONA

Arizona is staring down another major round of storms just days after parts of the state were flooded.

But this isn’t just another typical afternoon monsoon storm.

A disturbance rising out of the Gulf of California is moving into an atmosphere already loaded with deep moisture, setting the stage for multiple rounds of powerful thunderstorms over the next 36 hours.

Several inches of rain could fall across parts of the state, with flash flooding, damaging winds, blowing dust, intense lightning and possible power outages all in play.
