Blast announced it will shut down its Ethereum L2. Running the chain now costs more than it earns, and the team sees no credible path to making it sustainable.
Users are asked to withdraw everything to Ethereum mainnet, including balances in the Blast PWA. The withdrawal delay drops to 24 hours, but withdrawals pause for about a week first while Blast pulls its assets out of Lido. The regular interface works until October 26. After that, funds stay withdrawable directly through the Blast bridge contracts on L1.
About $32M is still locked on Blast, per DefiLlama. The BLAST token trades near $0.00037, about 99% below its all-time high.
