Cboe and Robinhood announced KPI contracts: binary options on company metrics like revenue or earnings. Cboe plans to list them for 23 US stocks in October, pending approval.
Unlike event contracts on CFTC-regulated prediction markets, these are SEC-regulated securities traded on Cboe's exchange. Robinhood will be the first retail broker to offer them, and neither firm will charge fees through the end of 2026.
Cboe also applied to register its U.S. clearinghouse with the SEC to clear the contracts, and says it could later clear tokenized binary options.
