ether.fi will fully exit EigenLayer this quarter, with under 1% of its assets still restaked.
“There were no meaningful yield opportunities in restaking,” CEO Mike Silagadze told CoinDesk. weETH dropped restaking in August, and users who still want it must opt into a separate token on Symbiotic. ether.fi now pitches itself as a crypto neobank, with its card bringing 46% of monthly revenue in July.
Restaking holds $10B but earned about $100K in weekly fees, while liquid staking made $27.35M on $51.87B, per DefiLlama.
