NEW: 🇺🇸 SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce is calling for an end to mass KYC data collection, warning that current protocols leave crypto holders vulnerable to phishing and physical attacks.

Peirce argues that the existing KYC/AML framework generates massive databases of sensitive information that are prime targets for hacks, leaks, and exploitation.

The Commissioner is now championing the implementation of zero-knowledge proofs to verify regulatory compliance without exposing personal user data.
