Cristina Korniychuk ended career

It’s hard to say goodbye to sport I’ve dedicated myself body and soul to, sport that’s been part of my life for as long as I can remember, one that has brought me so much joy, experiences I’ll never forget, and that has made me who I am today; but it has also left me with a feeling of emptiness, difficulties, and hard times.
Time has come and it’s decision I couldn’t be more certain of or happier to make. Change can be scary, but I know deep down that no decision has ever made me feel more free.

​Being happy is feeling, but being happy is choice, and if I’ve reached point where something that was once my passion takes more from me than it gives, it’s time to leave it behind.
​I’ve given it my all along this journey, and I’m deeply grateful for everything I’ve experienced and everything I’ve learned. I’m very proud of how far I’ve come, and very happy for all people I’m taking with me and those I’m leaving behind.
