Waiting Time
Process How much time did it spend just waiting for the CPU?
This is:
Waiting Time
For example, a process enters the system:
Arrival
↓
Waiting
↓
Running
↓
Waiting
↓
Running
↓
Finished
The entire time the process spent waiting for the CPU in the ready queue counts as Waiting Time.
Waiting Time = Time spent waiting for the CPU
