Press service of the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran: Today, at noon, observation units of the Navy detected an oil tanker that violated established regulations. The vessel was attempting to pass through a prohibited zone in the eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz with its tracking systems disabled, resulting in damage and a fire.

The Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, by adjusting its forces and deploying operational units in the eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as in the areas of the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman, is conducting comprehensive and continuous monitoring of all enemy activities and ship movements.

All vessels must strictly adhere to international regulations, under no circumstances disable electronic equipment, and coordinate safe passage with the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in advance.
