NEW: President Donald Trump is backing off the $1.8 billion fund that would pay people who were victims of the Biden government

“The Justice Department says it strongly disagrees with the judge's decision but will abide by that order”

A federal judge in Virginia blocked the fund, halting any setup, claims processing or payouts until at least a June 12 hearing

I found multiple sources report President Trump is reconsidering or dropping the plan due to

- Fierce bipartisan backlash, including from some Republicans like Mike Pence
- Concerns that it could pay Jan. 6 rioters and other controversial figures
- Legal challenges alleging it’s an improper “slush fund”

He shouldn’t give in. They deserve to be paid because of Democrats weaponization of law enforcement
